Most of our time in Longmont was spent with appointments and getting projects done. The most fun was being with the two pooches. Jack and Boo just seem to adore each other. Although they are relaxing here, they had spent most of this day chasing each other around the house and the yard.
One of the first events in Boulder, upon coming home from the cabin, was going to a city of Boulder event celebrating the Blood (Harvest) Moon co-sponsored by the Longmont Astronomy Club. People from the club brought high powered telescopes and binoculars so we could see things close up. The open space area where this took place was filled with the scent of prairie sage, which made the evening even more wonderful.
The ladies group, along with our two menfolk, got together at a new(ish) restaurant in Lafayette, The Morning Glory Cafe where they serve gluten free and dairy free meals. Since so many of the ladies have diet restrictions, this place became very popular this fall. Oh, yeah--and they have bottomless wine Wednesdays, which may have had something to do with our frequenting this place often on Wednesdays.
Julie Thornton had a fun party at her house in October. Her new home is exquisite. She did all of the interior design and she was the chief architect and general contractor for her own home! Pretty darned amazing!
Since Julie Thorpe would be gone for her birthday on November 3rd, we celebrated with an outing to the Botanic Gardens in Denver.
Everyone around here celebrates the Dia de los Muertos. We loved the raven on her forehead!

...and there was an exhibition of these incredible horses, made of bronze and wood. Looks so much like just driftwood.

We sure do know how to do an incredible picnic!
Last visits with Jason and Erin were fun and wonderful but also made us realize how much we will miss them.
Jason and Sarah at Maddie's soccer game. Abby is under the towel on her chair-apparently, not much of a soccer fan!
We drove by Union Reservoir on the way home, just to enjoy more of another perfect Colorado fall day.
We spent a lovely afternoon with Erin, hanging out in their fabulous yard, admiring the new trees.
How delightful to actually leave on time-November 2nd!
A final goodbye to the Twin Peaks! See you again next spring.
